It’s your home. We can help keep it comfortable and safe.

In a recent AARP survey, over 90% of Americans 50+ and seniors said they would prefer to remain in their home indefinitely as they age. We understand this completely because over the years, thousands of clients have told us exactly that.

Still, there comes a day when staying at home becomes more challenging. Sometimes it’s just hard to move around, and do the small day-to-day things. Other times, it’s help you need with medical treatment or medication. Or, you live in a house where doing the daily chores has become difficult.

LifeMatters is partnered with some of the area’s most experienced and capable retrofit, construction, handyman companies, and home accessibility consultants to address all of your “physical” living challenges.

From the simplest modification to complete home remodeling, LifeMatters and its partners work to understand your precise needs, and then develop and execute the best plan to create a safer, more accessible and enjoyable home for you or a loved one.

  • Home Accessibility Analysis and Plans: Our experts, who have specialized experience and expertise in home accessibility, assess the needs in your home and develop a customized and comprehensive home modification plan.
  • Simple Modifications: We focus on safety and prevention needs first, to lower the risk of injury. These are things that are relatively simple and often inexpensive to modify – installation of adaptive equipment such as grab bars, handheld showers, transfer aids, lever handles on faucets, or home safety monitoring technologies.
  • Conversion Modifications and Renovations: From bathrooms and kitchens, to second-floor bedrooms and entry-ways, our customized analysis may reveal a need to make more extensive modifications and renovations to make your home a safe and more enjoyable place to live. This may include things such as replacing bath tubs with walk-in/side-entrance tubs, widening doorways, no-slip flooring, adjusting the height of countertops, building safer walkways or ramps, or installing specialized equipment such as stair-lifts.
